I found a brand new tdm boxed version a few months ago for BELOW the price of the native and jumped on it. The tdm version was very expensive and I couldn't justify $700+ for one plugin (or at least not anymore). Every time i tried the native version I ended up taking it off the track because there was something about it that i just didn't like. that was a lucky day for me:-)Like you I coveted the powercore/tdm version for a very long time.

that was a lucky day for me:-)įortunately a GS member was dropping Powercore and sold me his Powercore CL1B license for the price of the native version. What a disappointment the native version was for me (just my personal opinion of course) I just felt the native version lacked the warm and analog mojo of the Powercore version.įortunately a GS member was dropping Powercore and sold me his Powercore CL1B license for the price of the native version. Then Softube released the native version, great I thought.

what an amazing software compressor, it just blew all my UAD plugins out of the water.īut it was also way to expensive for me, about £450 ($900).

So when the Powercore version came out (exactly the same code and DSP chip as the TDM version you have) I demoed it and thought WOW this is soooo close the hardware. I know the hardware very well, it has this lovely warm tone and a kind beautiful envolope especially when tracking bass and vocals. Softube themselves never seemed prepared to shed much light on it. I have the tdm version which is comparable to the power core version.
You also need to have an Avid HDX processing card.Agreed. For AAX DSP you need to meet the above requirements for the Native versions.TDM/VENUE is no longer supported (old downloads are available on the Legacy Installers page).įind the Softube installer you need both Softube Central and individual plug-ins. AAX DSP is not currently in active development. The most recent maintenance release of your DAW application is recommended. With regards to the different VST formats, we strongly recommend using VST3 as some of our plug-ins have features that are not present in the older VST format. Note: We have checked the basic functionality of our plug-ins, and Softube Central, under Apple Rosetta 2. We cannot guarantee a solution for issues in unsupported systems. Softube plugins are not tested in non-listed systems, but they most likely work as long as the system requirements are met.

In theory, any 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX (Pro Tools 11.0.2 or higher) compatible host application should work. However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, and Cakewalk.
